i paid 5 dollars each for5 the crocks, and a 1 each for books,

That red wing crock would sell for 75 to 100 most days around here if it isn't cracked.
no cracks, and handles are good
Get yourself some crock weights and plant some cabbage. You did very well

any marks on the bottom of the first crock? its a red wing salt glaze.
On the books, paying a dollar each was a very good buy. The condition looks good so I would say the handbook is worth 5 to 10 bucks, the Hawbaker book is common, probably around 15 bucks.

They both are redwing-its a salt glazed model. They usually sell for more and sometimes much more that the ones with a wing.
thanks guys, few years back I stop at a sale, and bought 72 crocks for 2 dollars each big 5gallon on down to small cheese ones.
You bring them to this area it would more than pay for the crocks you purchased and your gas. Plus fill your wallet.
