Asa Lenon has passed

"This morning Asa Lenon passed away. I got the call from Ruth a close friend of Asa. He had a stroke yesterday."

He was a fine man who contributed a lot to this site. Rest in peace my friend.

Bless him and his family. He was a good friend to me back in the day . We use talk a lot here and on the phone. He really pointed me in the right direction with lure making and cat trapping. He was a wealth of knowledge

I won’t say what I want because I want to sweat at the loss, but another very good man gone, one that contributed more then most and helped anyone that needed it freely and without a need to be asked he just shared with all

RIP Asa, another legend is gone but the legacy will live on. I remember a few decades ago on another forum, ASA posted a lot and there were some long and detailed threads on trapping, especially canines and human scent. Asa was a a proponent of very clean trapping. He also shared a lot regarding trapping in deep snow which was a major factor in his trap lines.

Very sad to hear.

The man was trapping royalty. He lived about an hour away from me, but I only talked to him one time. Asa had a unique presence, soft spoken and humble. I primarily use his lures to this day. After all, they were formulated and tested on our local furbearers.

Will be missed by so many RIP.

Received a call from him years ago after I placed a very large order when he was running the lure business. He thanked me for my order and gave me some tips while we talked. I still have a large quantity of unopened bottles of his lure that I use a lot. Very kind and generous man and may he rest in peace.
