I would have guessed about the size of a flying squirrel or just a hair bigger. It's neet to see since we don't have them and I have either never seen them or just not paid attention if I was in an area that has them.

Looks like they can get quite destructive. Glad to see him getting them removed.

Cool I need to be sure to pay attention and look for them anytime I'm traveling. I should get a nice Camara for wildlife photography. Especially considering most of the time I just watch animals walk buy and don't harvest them. My phone is not good for that they are to far away.

Re: Another red - 02/08/24 03:06 PM

I saw a video where a guy was shooting them with a blowgun. He was eating them.
I have them in my woods. They are a real nuisance, do damage to outbuildings and make a mess. Problem is they never sit still still long enough to get a shot with a 22. I decided to get a 410 and shoot them while they're racing through the trees.

Those red squirrels are not big. They are NOT a Fox squirrel. Some people in Wisconsin call them pine squirrels I believe.

I have lots greys by house an yard, no reds, the reds do damage to house or roofing. Grey's don't much for some reason

Lots of em around here. You'd get tired of shooting them. Thick as chipmunks but not as destructive. I trap between 50 to a 100 chipmunks every fall in my yard and maybe 25 reds. Reds don't hit the rat trap with a nut on it as much as the chipmunks.

WWR, keep stacking up. You can grind them up for bait. Just keep freezing them and fill gallon baggies till you ready to make bait
