I'm no expert, but it looks like a #2 1/2 with a #3 pan, so yes it would be single spring trap.

I would say someone whittled down the jaws from a Victor #13 jump and pinned them onto a Newhouse base...

Pieced together from “spare” parts. Just hang it on the trap shed wall.
