Reset the cat line - 01/25/24 12:48 AM
Snapped everything when the storms just kept coming and the waxed dirt was running low remaking the drifted over sets. The wind kept blowing the powder around and the road drifted over again. Pulled the sled in today with supplies plus I have stuff stashed along the creek the snows 2X deeper now.
Had a couple cams pulled so I swapped a couple out and put new batteries in the rest so each cubby has a cam again on it. Reset the one cage I have in the creek again. Axed up a beaver each cubby got fresh beaver baits. With the weight I had to pull I took the creek in since it flatter and would take the long way out with less weight to go around the food plots other edge.
On the way in I came across a smaller deer shoulder blade in the middle of the creek yote tracks around it. Coming out the other way it looked like a yote pulled down a skunk tail I had for a flag I was thinking cat but the tracks looked like yote. It ate the bone out of the tail all but the tip. A short distance later a large cat crossed into the food plot. A couple hundred yards down I find a deer the yotes fed on it was down to a skeleton ribs 1/2 eaten. They cleaned up well not much for scraps remaining.
Tracks leading away and crossing the food plot
.Skunk tail cubby by the bag it was hung to the right of the cubby because of the cam.
Big cat track that came off a brush pile it was walking on hunting rabbits my guess.
Yotes feeding on deer carcass the skeleton is on the other side of the sled. No clue where the heads at looked to be yearling the spine and hips were still intact that seemed odd.
