Big ranch for sale. Maybe about 20 or 30 of you guys could pool your money and buy it. Near Meteetsie. I'm guessing it's got plenty of hunting and trapping opportunities. Fed ground to the west.

Just think, if only 67 of us ponied up one million dollars each, we could buy this place. We could pay it off by holding trappers rendezvous there. Probably only take us about a thousand years to pay ourselves back.

Wyoming ranches aren’t supposed to have tennis courts. What kind of Woke ranch is it?

Too rich for me

Hope whoever buys it maintains it as is and does not hack it into smaller pieces and resell it

If one of you buy it, I would love to come up and spend a few weeks just roaming around it in the summer wink

Bill Gates will probably buy it and add to his stable of land. Or the Chinese.

Just under 14,000 deeded acres, but the article says it 96,000 acres. That 82,000 acre difference is public land that the buyer ain't buying....just leasing cattle access.

If I understood that article right....

It's Wyoming of course it has tennis courts, how else would they get the Hollywood types with money to buy it? Thats where all these high priced ranches go, because nobody can make a working ranch pay for itself at the kind of prices they get out of them.

$4800 is pretty cheap. Most farm land here has been selling for 14K-19K per acre.

Not for what that ground is and one day the crazy prices may bankrupt a lot of people

The Pitchfork is just up the river from me. I've been hunting that ranch for over 30 years. It's a "hunter management area" right now and I sure would hate for somebody to buy it and shut the hunting down.

wyote, does any of the range land around you sell for $4800/acre these days? Just curious. For that kind of price it best come already stocked with cattle is my thinking.

That ain't row crop land...

There's no row crop land just hay to feed the cattle. This is mostly pasture and some mountain land.
Land prices are going crazy here since covid. All kinds of people (rich) moving here and driving up the price of properties.

I was going to say that sounds cheap compared to farm ground.

You'd think Jeremiah Johnson country would be the most expensive.
