My mom passed away

My mom went to be with JESUS
a few minutes ago.
We had a small get together yesterday at the nursing home,,, they let us wheel moms bed into the activities room.
I brought my guitar….. mom was not really responsive the past couple of days….
But when I started playing her favorite Christmas songs,, she woke right up,, and had a big smile on her face.
We were all able to talk to her for a little bit.
I know she is with JESUS and my dad now.she fought this infection like a soldier. She was given the nickname “ sarge”many years ago… because she was just plain ol tough.
Life is short guys,,, please please don’t ever pass up the opportunity to tell someone how much you love them.

Remember all the good times,you know she's in a great place now visiting all of her friends that went home before her.I know you will miss her being on this earth and there is nothing easy about it.It will be 7 years since my Mom passed we had a lot of good visits untill the last week of her life,at that time she didn't recognize any of us,but prior to that she talked about seeing so many of her friends that she hadn't seen for a long time so that was very comforting.Take care!

She is at Peace now, with her Lord and Savior.

May she rest in peace. I lost my mom suddenly 2 years ago and a day before that, I couldn't think of anything I needed to say to her. Now I wish I had fit one more phone call in. There was lots I should have said starting with thanks for putting up with me- I know darn well I was a tough kid. If she ever complained, I must have forgotten it.

My mom has been gone for almost 2 years now and it's just starting to sink in. It was the same with my dad 10 years ago. Life is short and you are so right. Let your loved one know there loved.

Glad I ran across this. Prayers for you and family. Wish I could have spent mom's last hours like you all did. A mother's love is like no other.
