which cameras are "expendable" [won't tear your heart out, if they are stolen]; yet still function well-enough?

Thanks.

The cheap one from Walmart. They’re like $30 each and take decent pics.

All of mine should be called Wind cameras, rather than Game cameras.

The pictures are far more valuable than the cameras. Buy good cameras and secure them.

wild game terra 12 Never look back. Great pics and you can get them on sale for 39 bucks. I have 14 of them. My first one from 2010 stopped flash at night this year , But I bet it has taken OVER 50,000 pics in 13 seasons. That number is probably low. (3800) per year.

Are they needed for hunting over a feeder of corn?

Cheap Wal Mart camera. 6 ft light aliuminum ladder. Buy a bent or crushed or broken ladder cheap ! Put back pack straps on it ! With camera’s high. Less thiefs see them. AND most camera thiefs. Dont carry ladders

Actually...yes. The cameras inventory what bucks are there so decisions can be made as to which, if any, are to be taken.

Op can't use feeders/bait on public land anyway....not legal.

I haven't tried all the cheap cameras out there but the ones I have would surprise most people how many animals they miss. Even the mid range cameras can miss more animals than you would want if u knew.

Not at all ! Best thing is you get to see what is there when you’re not . In fact when I pull cards I look at them as soon as I can . Get one and try it Checking them can get addicting. Got a pic of a bear this year my first ever. Ton of neat bird pics

I have a couple Tasco cameras I bought just for this situation. I had them a few years and they still work good. They take great pics at standing deer but they do get a little fuzzy looking at walking deer but not to bad. I bought them at Walmart. They will do video but I always take pics.
