sorry if I overlooked this - can't find it on the website either - I'm sure it's right in front of me -- admission price?

As far as I know, it has always been free to attend. I certainly don't remember ever having to pay any admission fee.

Kansas is one of the best conventions in the country. I have attended the past 13 and never regretted going to one.
Great demos, Great vendors and most of all, Great People.

I'm planning in heading down there with my girls, it's only about an hour from me. Is there any good camping in the immediate area?

I saw that camping was available on the grounds, I was wondering if there was something a little more scenic than a fairgrounds for my little ladies.

Re: Kansas Convention 50th Anniversary Oct.6-7 - 09/21/23 01:26 AM

LG years past there were 2 jam up places to take kids camping up that way. Somewhere around the Nemaha / Brown Co line there was one place called (at the time) Sun Springs and another called Sycamore Springs.

Our MYF made trips there every year and we had a blast. Also caught ridiculous numbers of fair sized carp every time we so much as wet a line. I hope yall enjoy yourselves, when my boy was around we'd pitch a tent darn near anywhere the was a fishin hole.

There's a nice city lake south of Centralia, Ks around 12 miles
south west of seneca.

There's the old Sabetha, Ks city lake 12 miles or so east and north
of seneca.

There's iron horse trail lake just north of Dubois, Ne witch would
also be around 12 miles or so north of seneca on 63 highway.

My hat is off for the Kansas Fur Harvesters again. Had a great time with good people at Seneca. It was good to be with the vendors, convention crew and trappers attending.
Too bad the attendance was lower than one would like but those attending are to be complimented.
