Article on handling beaver tails after skinning leather off. Chunk up what’s left, place in jar, cover with linseed oil or vinegar. Later use for fishing. Has anyone don this?

I read the article, but have not used the tail grissle before. I have used beaver fat ( sliced small like a wax worm or grub), for white fish and panfish. It works well.
