Beard is geting a trim for the first time in...

A year and 8 months. Today lighting my smoker burning dead grass from my field it flamed up and burnt 3 inches on my right side. . Now to decided to trime to whare its burnt take it down short and clean or shave.

Just start with trimming it up. Then if you like that you can go further....

I burned mine pretty good (and my eye lashes, part of my eyebrows and some hair) helping a neighbor put out a brush fire a few years ago.

The smell of burning hair told me right away that I had problems. Mirror on my pickup confirmed it.

Buzz cut, shave and some time fixed it.

A few years ago our full bearded underground cableman showed up at the office near the end of the day clean shaven, even the eyebrows were wonky, new shiny hard hat and safety glasses. He had a little secondary voltage incident in a pad mount transformer and created a small supernova earlier in the day……lol

I took about 4" off still have about 5". It may get cleaned up and tried on the sides, made short and clean or removed yet in the next week or so. It's a touch to square now. It's different been rocking the just came out of the woods for the first time in years look. Heck I have never been to a barber maybe I will go to one and get a hipster style. Shouldn't be hard with my handle bar.

I clean shaved ...now growing it back

I trimmed last week went from my 3rd shirt button to the first and the one at the top doesn't count that is the 0 button and never gets buttoned , I hate ties.

the 0 button exists to have a spare when you loose another one.

Well it sure feels weird this morning. Never would have thought it would be pokie feeling on my chest or the sides would stick out as far as the length. May have to burn the sides down some.

you might try the clippers for a more precise cut than the fire.

Singed mine a couple of times. Last time I shave was 34 years ago. I came out to the supper table and the wife said grow it back! I said I look that bad. LOL

Only difference between a bad beard trim and a good beard trim is 2 weeks.

Haircut and shave here twice a year.

Last clean shave was in 82. High school graduation (only because my mother requested it) I have had a full beard of some length ever since.

Envy you gents! Can't grow facial hair to save my butt. Longer it gets my stash turns its own ginger color (I was a red head toddler). The rest of my face have spots that don't grow kidda all "Joe Dirt" like. No joking. Enjoy your ability to grow it out! In high school I had one handsome mullet though!

That beard can be a life saver if it’s cold. I shaved mine off in January about 5 years ago, never again! Summer I clean up a bit but it’s almost time to let er buck again till spring

Beard collects ice in winter.When it gets too heavy I bust it off with the back of the sandvik.
