Your tman name?

Your tman name? - 07/02/23 12:08 AM
I started out a bankbeaverblues
Because I had to chase the last one.
Bank den beaver are so cool.
I found a crazy area they dug out that was supported like a mine.
There was a den and a small definition area in the middle.
It was probably 50 yards from the ditch.
They had a feed hole up
It was in peat ground, so plenty of water in the ground.
I came to tmann to learn from the beast.

Least ways that's the only explanation I can come up with because I thought I'd put SML in...... Actually took me awhile to figure out I was Yes sir
My name and why I trap, not overly concerned what the market is I’m just doing it for the fun.
My original screen name was just yotetrapper and it was a joke. I called myself yotetrapper because I couldn't trap a yote to save my life. Dannyc on here walked me through it day by day until I finally caught one. Between his advice and the advice of many others on here, I've caught many coyotes throughout the years (many for me, who rarely has more than a dozen traps out at once, not many compared to a lot of guys on here).
The 30 came in years later, when I joined tman for the second time... I was 30 then and that was quite a while ago now, lol.

I grew up trapping, hunting, fishing, and game wardening in the piney flatwoods around the Okefenokee Swamp (largest freshwater swamp in NA.) I still do to this day....except for the GW part....I'm 1 year into retirement.
The "wolf" part is due to the coyotes I've challenged in this area for 4.5 decades and counting.

I recently changed my screen name to my given name.
I was Horn since before there was a Trapperman.com site but we had a pretty active chat group on other sites.
Horn was also my Nickname at work shortened from Green Horn.

We had a huge swamp behind my house where I grew up. The water in it was as black as Texas tea in some spots. We always called it Black Swamp. I called all of my Walker coonhounds Black Swamp what ever. For Tman I just shortened it to Swamp.
