George Brady Passing - 06/16/23 05:34 PM
A long time member George Brady (Washfurbuyer) has recently passed. A post was made by a family member on Facebook. He passed after a short and unexpected illness. George was a receiving agent for FHA and a private fur buyer out of Eastern Washington. He was very active in our state association and attended many fur sales across the west. He was always great to talk to at conventions and fur sales. He supplied me with lots of traps and knowledge over the years. We lost a great guy in the trapping community.

That's a shock. He was a valuable guy to the trappers of Washington State. Very sad.

Not a better person or a better advocate for trapping. Always a smile and a helping hand. I. for one, will miss him severely. I'm saddened to the core. Godspeed, George.

I couldn’t find an obit when I looked yesterday. His passing was only 3 days ago, so it might be a bit early.
George Brady is a fairly common name. If you want to do internet searching for him, use George Brady Pateros (the town he lived in).

Dang! George has bent over backwards to help me get fur up to Furharvesters over the last many years. I don’t know how many miles he put on that rig to meet me halfway. What a great guy and always great to chat with. I never went away without a smile after dealing with George.
On my last trip up to meet him in Centralia I had some tail-on nutria I was hoping he would buy. So I say: “George, you wanna buy 8 tail- on nutes from me?” He says “ How much you want?” Me: “ Could you do $8 each?” Him: Fiddles in his wallet and pulls out 4 twenties and puts it in my hand. ….That is/was George in a nutshell.
God bless a good man.
