Rock auto. Com question - 03/08/23 11:07 PM

Has anyone ever traded with these guys? I’m needing a radiator but don’t know if they offer free shipping. They don’t have a phone number,, says they are strictly online company. Just trying to shop around for options.. I’d like to know, then I could weigh in if it would it be cheaper to order one from my local auto parts store and save on shipping costs.

This info might work Fox, I've had no problems with them but have only ordered a few things.

Fox I've never bought anything from them that required a core so I'm not sure how that works.
I love rock auto.

They are the real deal just shop around to see if they are the cheapest look at car parts.com, parts geek also. Just put the item in your shopping cart to get a shipping total just don’t pay until you’re sure. Do a year model search you might find a direct dealer that’s cheaper also.

Bought a radiator for one of my little truck no core exchanged.

Most times I have used them was for a hard to find part. Usually their shipping prices were the deciding factor.

Yes with multiple items they play warehouse roulette so they can charge more for shipping. You can delete an item and a different parts warehouse would change. If they have it or it’s cheap enough you have to decide if you need it bad enough.

I just put a radiator in my truck back in November. I got it threw Amazon vendor. I've used Rock Auto in the past but I don't recall now what for. You really gotta shop and watch the apples for apples on pricing parts. I have 4 parts house stores within walking distance from me. There are some items even with shipping are cheaper on line same brand.

Sign up your vehicle and they will send you a close out list every so often dirt cheap parts, my guess they buy out other parts stores cheap and try to move the stuff.

Most all radiators are pretty much throw away now day. That's the main problem with them.

Should say core charge next to price but I dont think rads have core charges anymore. you should be able to put the part in your cart and put address in to get shipping charge amount, do everything but credit card #.

I order from rock auto pretty much monthly and they are awesome but for a radiator I would price check with 1-800 radiator.

The shipping kills you. I went to order 2 parts yesterday and they were shipped separate so double shipping charge. I ended buying the parts at NAPA.

I don't order quit as often as the Mad Scientist but when I do it is usually a sizable order.

It's a good place to order from but check prices locally before you do. When ordering multiple parts they will show what parts are available from the same warehouse after you put a part in your cart.

Re: Rock auto. Com question - 03/09/23 12:33 AM

you pay shipping and if you need to return you pay to ship it back.

if they don't have it all in the same warehouse you pay more for shipping

their prices are good but there is something about being able to return stuff also and not have to ship everything and wait for everything .

but things like bulk brake line they had the best price and it wasn't like it wasn't going to fit.

always look up them then add the shipping , keep in mind I am less than an hour from Madison, I have a co-worker that orders a bunch of stuff from them but even he is getting more and more stuff from amazon.

check Rock , A1 , Amazon , napa , autozone, oriely compare it all out , amazon has easy returns
