I don't have official results but from what I saw cats and beaver sold well. Top cat was either $300 or $310 I think, a couple other cats went over $200. I would guess the cat average was around $100 from what I saw. Not a lot of beaver on the sale but saw a group of green skinned beaver go for $27 and some finished over $30. Coyotes could hardly get a bid, coons sold cheap probably $5 top. The few skunks that were there sold well. Not a lot of other fur there, a couple red fox I saw for probably $10 average.

Beaver $37.00 top & $21.39 average.
Bobcat $320.00 top & $93.42 average.
Coyote $10.00 top & $4.02 average.
Opossum $1.75 top & $1.07 average.
Raccoon $6.50 top & $2.53 average.
Red Fox $12.50 top & $10.25 average.
Stripped Skunk $10.25 top & $7.66 average

Finished and green fur together, although there really wasn't much difference in price between the two anyway. I don't have total numbers sold.

Not sure why, but that's really not that uncommon at these state sales.

Powers that be have opened up night shooting with thermals. Amazing isnt it? 1000 dollar rifles, dollar a shot ammo and 3000 dollar scopes. 350 for an E caller. All to shoot 4 dollar coyotes. Have heard rumors of cats deer and otter being shot too though. maybe that offsets expense a little?

I was talking with Matt Peek on Sat about that very thing, Danny. He sounded like there is a shake up coming, possibly one way or another!

I get your point (and agree), you are WAY low on your prices though! Which makes it worse!

Keep in mind those coyotes are probly being eradicated not for the $4 but to protect newborn calves and cows having calves. Ranchers have a different view on coyotes than the average sportsman. After seeing a chewed up baby calf or cow it leaves a bitter feeling.

They started letting them shoot at night here and I know some fire on anything that lights up in the scope.

That may be true, but some of us wouldn't skin one for $4

News Flash: those people aren’t skinning a yote, that they shot at night with a rifle, for a $4 pelt.
