Haha… if that’s the case I’ll forget it. I didn’t fall into the 6.5 craze. May just have to find me a 28 nosler if that’s the case

I am still stuck in the 6.5 Swede phase of my life and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Maybe when Winchester chambers something like a 284 1/4 Wizbang Akley Improved 42.5 degree then I will consider it.

I didn’t hop on the Creedmor bandwagon , but did get a 6.5 PRC Bergara last year. Great shooting gun. Didn’t really need one but I did lol. Hand load H1000 and the 143 gr ELDx , tack driver. I’m following this post, no experience with 7 mm cartridges . I like my .30 cal cartridges for ease of handloading.

I have a 300 PRC that I have killed 3 elk with. I really like it and it shoots great out to 1000 yards. The elk I killed was 625, 650 and 655 yards. Wind does not effect it as much as my 300 win mag or 300 wby. In shoot 230 Atip out of mine at 2950fps.

I also have a 6.5 PRC I have only killed a few coyotes with it as I just got it. I’m pushing a 143 gr ELDX at 3225 FPS. I only shot it out to 600 yards and it shots great. Under 3 inch groups.

So I’m a PRC fan because reloaded is easy. There is some great bullets with very high BC offered. I will get a 7mm PRS in the next year or two. The wind bucking is worth it to me.

The 28 Nosler is a great round too. I have one and it has never let me down. You can’t go wrong with either 28 Nosler or 7mm PRC.

My cousin had a 300 prc built said it's a Lazer. Sold it to pays some bills off and was talking last week about building another one. I'm interested but I seldom shoot any more and shots are not long. So 308 based rounds do the job and do so with less recoil and powder. But they still get the job done at distance when needed just not as easily. brush.

That said wants are not about practical. My boys public land indiana public land cal restriction get the job done but I'm looking at Getting some 358 hoosier rifles made.
