I have made several. Always careful not to overheat the edge. I am no craftsman. Just wanted a functional tool. Maybe they can be retempered harder. I just used them as is. That produces a poor quality tool

I had a local knife maker make one for me and each of my boys. Turned out well.

Yes Gulo makes some very nice knives But I do not know if he makes any that are this style

I think Funke Tags & supplies sells them. They used to anyway.
