Snow that is. It started about 01:00 PM yesterday and still going strong. Wind is 25-35 with guests over 50. I have grass in the yard showing and new drifts five foot tall. This is when it first started yesterday

This is this morning. They say another 8-15" between today and tonight and more snow tomorrow. We need the moisture.

Global warming causes that.

77 here yesterday and the yard needed mowed a week ago. Bees need honey suppers put on but I'm still In the hospital with my wife.

Few flurries came down about a hour ago. Temp is about 35 here so none sticking. Temp was in mid 80s yesterday here.

I am 25 miles west of Minot ND. We need the moisture bad. I hope it brings up the water table and sloughs. I am glad I don't have a bunch of cows calving. If I had cows I would calf when the deer and antelope fawn. Do you think there is a reason for that timing? It does not show it getting above freezing until the 20th and then only 35 degrees. But I will melt faster than if we got it in November.

It is still building. They say the blizzard warning will end Thursday at 07:00 PM.

They must be getting dumped on out west here the semis are covered with wet snow and slush that are heading east.

You can keep it. Its 75 here today. Back in the 40s on Sunday

Over 3/4s of ND roads are closed or no travel advised. If they are moving they aren't getting dumped on.

Snow was all but melted here yesterday. About a foot on the ground now.

MJM was looking at Windy.com and saw your area the center of the low pressure and looked like it was not moving for a-wee-bit
That strong low pressure system by James Bay was blocking it from moving east.
got 8 inches between 5am and noon and now the winds are shifting so the system is moving
Saw a 100 robins and they were not impressed......

Tonight's forecast is more of the same. We do need the moisture and it shows it getting above freezing Saturday.

We also have a fresh blanket of snow here maybe a foot or so but the way the wind blew its hard to tell .

It’s nasty out, high centered the truck 3 times on my side street getting home this morning. I had to get the snow blower out to get into the driveway… can we say this is a drought breaker?

It is not snowing or blowing as bad this morning. The wind dropped off about 05:00 am to 25-35 with gusts over 40. Here are two pictures to show that the wind does. The first is taken looking to the east and the second looking south. The drift by the shop is higher than the walk through door. The shop has a 10 foot side wall. I wish my snow shoes were in the house, not the shop. I may try to clean out Tuesday. It will be a little warmer and wind to blow snow to the slough. I park the pick up close to 100 yards south of the house on top the little rise and have always been able to drive it out. I am sure my road is plugged so why move it.

The storm covered over 3/4s the state. I just saw Minot got 30" which was the most for the state. Minot is 25 miles east of me. The east 1/6 side of the state still has the road open. The rest of the state the roads are closed or no travel advised. So they must have not get the snow we got further west. It will be the 20th before we have a high above freezing, is what it shows.
