CZ discontinuing the 527

I'm a little late to the party, but saw that CZ is discontinuing the 527. That's too bad. Was/is a fun shooter and it was available in a lot of calibers. One of the few rifles out there that had a nice wood stock-its a pretty rifle- and handled like a dream. Just feels good in the hands and you want to keep on shooting it. Numerous occasions over the years that I'd pick one up at a shop and almost buy it. Did that at least 5 different times over the past decade, and finally did buy one a couple years back in 7.62x39. Plink a lot w/it and have deer hunted with it, too. Really glad I did buy it now seeing as it won't be available once available stock dries up. Anyone else got one? The 22 Hornet chambering always grabbed my attention and it would have been fun to get one in .223 if disposable income was available.

Saw that CZ bought Colt last year too.

Won a .204 some years back, can drive nails with it, quality gun unlike ALOT of the junk being made now days.

Pulled the trigger on a 17 hornet last year. Glad I did!

Just bought a CZ 527 in .223 on gunbroker. They ain’t cheap since they’ve been discontinued!! Really surprised they did that. They have a new model out this year, but not in a large variety of calibers.

I handled the new version at the gun shop a couple days ago and I didn't really care for it.

Just read this wow-really-why? It's such a fantastic little rifle-the small action is awesome and they are crazy accurate. Glad I just bought another-never going to sell any of mine. I have a .17 Hornet, a 22 K Hornet,223 ebony and a 6.5 Grendel. I really like wood stocked rifles. Never jumped onto the plastic parade like alot of others. Pretty tough to beat what you get in CZ 527's.Too bad.

That sucks as I have been looking for one myself but most local places haven't had any since the China flu hit. Might be able to got one on line but would rather be able to handle it before buying.

New models almost always seem to be cheaper in some way

Sure mags for them will be available for a good while but ordered an extra one anyway yesterday....Ouch.
