When standing on the surface of the earth you walk 1 mile south, 1 mile west, 1 mile north and end up where you started?

North pole. The other answer, equator, is not correct because you don't "end up where you started." You end up back on the equator but 1 mile west of your starting point.

If you were applying for a space x position Elon Musk who likely give you this riddle. It is said most engineers will know the answer.

Thought it was interesting

North pole all directions are south an equilateral triangle has all sides the same length as the longitudinal lines convert there magnetic north, true north, north north are the same

I do not believe this is true . True north and magnetic north are not the same thing. True North is the actual axis of the earth, magnetic north is where the compass point to where the magnetic field goes down into the earth. And that is a wandering point . That’s why a compass needs to take into account declination depending on where you are on the planet.
