Acraglass gel

Acraglass gel - 01/07/22 01:14 AM

Anybody have a line on where to get some? I've checked a load of places and they are all out of stock and not available to backorder. Is it still made even?
My dad needs some to do a custom muzzleloader repair. It needs to be dyed to match the wood finish.
Any other bedding compounds that work similar and can be dyed? I have read about devcon "puddy", but that can't be dyed.

Thanks.

brownelles is normally the place to get it

you can get it but have to buy the larger quantity

are you bedding an action ?

you can also use epoxy

unfortunately there is a shortage on polyester resin this last year

Regular ole epoxy can work fine. Probably all the gel is. Can be tinted as needed.

For actual bedding, I like Devcon just because it goes where I put it and doesn't run where I don't want it.

I used Devcon when I bedded the action on my rifle https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2283647161?pid=870001

the acryglas reminds me a little of peanut butter which is what they call thickened polyester resin with chopped glass and thickening agent fumes silica
