First Coon!!!

First Coon!!! - 11/14/21 08:56 PM

Pulled some DP traps that I wasn't having any luck with and put them on another property I trap. Found a nice game trail and set up. We had rain and a cold front come through last night so I had a good feeling. When I checked the traps I thought I got skunked again but on the last one I had this boar coon trapped! So very excited as this was one of the animals I wanted to trap when I started this year. Now I need to get a beaver!

Looks like a boar with the lighter color across the shoulders. Keep your first coon baculum as a little trophy (after its cleaned and whitened a bit)...

Why didn't you shoot that fox in the pic in the back ground to the right of your digging tool handle sticking out of the pack basket ?

Thought I was the only one to notice that leaf/fox face!

Cool on the first catch! Their is always a next first in trapping wether it is species or numbers. Still have not got my first weasel lol.
