And for the first time in years I had dug out my setters and had them with me since these are new traps and strong.

Wow at least it wasn't just a thumb. I have not gotten in a 330 yet or a MB 750 but everything else I have. Thought I was going to have to drive home with a 220 on once and that was bad enough.

Absent mindedly adjusting the bend of the trigger wires thinking my thumb was solidly on the dog and safties still hooked.

Of course dogs freshly filed with minimal swing on the triggers.

I've lost count by now on how many times.

At least it wasn't both hands. I wonder how you'd get outta that mess.

I know a fellow that had to drive for help for that reason. He's the guy that taught me to never tie off a 330 until the last step for that reason.

That's a good piece of advice.

If you had a good one handed setter you might have been able to sneak behind the truck and get out without the client seeing, just say’n. LOL

Always keep the setter unlatched & within arms reach.
