I love mine. I have an 1100 and a couple of Benellis. I had the 1100 long before I had the Benellis and I must admit, it feels like a boat anchor by comparison.

I won a over/ under Tristar at a gun raffle, sure is a fun gun to shoot
I had a Remington 1100 that I sold. made me a price I could not pass on. Now I still got a Beretta 686. Great gun and there is nothing wrong with 28 g. They pattern very well. Limited range but a lot better than a .410. Shell are pricey but I got a Mec 600 JR that I reload with. Hulls are hard to come by so I buy case of AAs loaded and then reload. Very very fun gun make sure you buy one on a 28g frame or you are not getting the advantage.
ADC. Always wanted a CZ but never could find one over here in 28

It’s my go to gun the first one I always grab out of the safe , I use it to hunt ducks to doves . I have 2 a Remington 1100 and a tristar viper . The tristar needs a new barrel after my youngest one flipped the side by side on top of it . Looking to buy a CZ over and under by the end of the year .

When I was a child in the late 50s, I had a single barrel 28 gauge. Don't know what happened to it. Was expensive to shoot even back then and shells were not available in my small town. All i ever hunted back then was squirrels.
Shooting clays with a 20 gauge OU and a Mod 12 in 20 gauge. Might be in the market for a 28 soon. Have had two rotator cuff repairs on each shoulder. Ain't much good anymore. Gave my grandson a LT20 model 1100. Maybe I should ask for it back.

One of my favorites! Got a browning citori and a couple ringneck sxs.love sub gauges. Killed some doves with a 28 opening day. Fun to shoot skeet with too.

I knew a Pheasants Forever director that shot pheasants with a 28. Seems light to me for pheasant but it's all about shot placement and within range. I reckon lots of pheasants have been killed with a .410 also but probly a lot hit but not dropped too.

28 Ga is my favorite round to shoot. I have three 28 gauge shotguns: a beretta A400 xplor action, a hatfield semi auto, and a tri star viper g2. Listed in the order that I prefer them in. I handload all of my shells and with 1 oz of lead shot I am at no disadvantage with doves, rabbits, pheasants, etc.
I also take piles of ducks and geese with the 28 with my steel/tss duplex loads. There's nothing you can do with a 10 gauge and steel shot that I can't do with my 28 and modern loading!
I like the hatfield because it has a 3" chamber. I can load 1 1/16 oz of bismuth in a 3" hull and have a great waterfowl load. The beretta is my favorite by far though, its an extremely fun gun to shoot.

Bought a CZ Supreme Field in the last year. Only quail hunted with it once but love it. Intend to use it waterfowl hunting some on top of other things. I really really like the 28 ga. Had an 1100 but it wasn’t factory and had some issues, so I switched to a 2 pipe gun.

I love my 28. I shoot a remington 11-48 in 28 along with an ATI over/under in 28. The ATI would suprise you how it handles and shoots. I had a SxS in 28 and just couldn't get used to the swing and double triggers, it got traded off.

Welllllll it wasn't really ever supposed to be shot. My uncle came over one morning to take me dove hunting when I was about 9 and my dad was out of town, my mom opened the safe and that's what he picked hahaha we went to Walmart and got a box of shells. My dad wasn't to happy but he said I guess you have new gun take care of it I have been using it ever since he has a matching 20 and 12 ga and a matching model 42 .410. Kinda screwed up the collection but oh well it's been a good gun.

Cool 1992 Very few guns are not made to be shot. You sure can’t take them with you. Great story. I enjoyed the story. My dad always said you can’t take them with you

Red Label and CZ Sharptail. Since I could start getting steel for them they've seen a lot of time on the marshes hunting rail, and missing snipe. Great woodcock guns and no problem once our "chicken" season opens.

I've tossed the idea around for a CZ bobwhite in 28 gauge, what a sweet gun!, not sure what I'd use it for though...lol
Funny thing, 28 gauge shells were the last ones to disappear from our Walmart....

Anything you hunt with a shotgun, except maybe animals you'd be using buckshot or slugs to hunt. Besides who needs a reason to buy a new gun. It's not always a matter of need.

Ruger O/U with the 28 inch barrel, and have used it for a lot of small game and a few ducks and geese when you could still use lead in Canada. Mostly hand load but Winchester one ounce load of 6 seems to kill just as well as the one ounce load in the 20. It says 1100 fps on the box but have not been able to tell much difference from the 1200 feet per second loads. A lot of old lead loads were pretty slow. I have used it on the sporing clays course a lot and could not tell much difference than the 12 if they were not throwing anything real long. Good gun and cheap to reload with the light loads. I had a foreign made one about 30 years ago but do not remember the name of it at this point.
