Who's going to watch McGregor Vs Poirier

Re: Tonight's fight. - 07/10/21 09:26 PM

It should be Leftlane vs. Boco or Lugnut vs. James. I don't think McGregor and Poirier post on Trapperman.

Wouldn't pay to support McGregor I think he's a jerk

I'd like to watch, might go down the street to the neighbor lady, I know she'll have it on. Or I might wait a few days and watch on any number of sources.

I wouldn't mind seeing the card KeithC listed either.

Gonna eat some chicken and watch it at Hooters. Hope it ends similar to the last time those two met.

You'll probably miss most of the fight oogling the hooters.

McGregor taken out on a stretcher

Re: Tonight's fight. - 07/11/21 05:49 AM

Didn’t look like the fight was in his favor before he broke his ankle. I wonder if he’ll be able to come back from that, long term?

You're right. Who knows if he'll recover. It will take at least 1 yr

Here you all go.

That Poirier has a good left

Re: Tonight's fight. - 07/11/21 02:17 PM

Good riddance to that Irish rubbish. I hate he broke his leg as I was enjoying watching Poirier break his ear and his face. Would have taken a miracle for him to make it to the end of round 2. But I will give the devil his dues, he made a lot of money being a donkey's hind end and won a couple of titles. But his days of being relevant at a high level in MMA are over but I am sure Dana will keep kissing his butt and trying to prop him up.

Video unavailable. I hope McGregor can afford to be off work for a year.

that was so fake. Either he is on a ton of opium or it is fake. I say fake. How do you break your leg in half and then just casually lay on the side of the ring talking smack. FAKE!!!!

How can you guys care about this. SUPER FAKE worse than WWE!!! The Hulkster could put on a better performance.

Hahaha fake. The adrenaline going through the body is an incredible thing. Here's some screen shots I just took. The last 2 are zoomed in.

Here's the fight.

Re: Tonight's fight. - 07/12/21 10:54 PM

Personally I thought the Price Vs Peiera fight was awesome.

After the fights let out there were a couple fights inside the casino. One was pure wild 2 guys were going at it then 2 more joined in. As security was trying to break it up the smaller guy from the initial fight started picking up a chair everyone near the guy rushed him to control him. That calmed down the next thing I know some lady was beating the snot out the big guy from the initial fight. She looked like GI Jane and was wrecking the big guy. After she was done with him she went straight back to her drinks lol

Anderson Silva was never the same, never reached his former high level, after he broke his leg during the Weidman rematch.

His break seemed worse than McGregor's but it's hard to tell.

I hope McGregor comes back I enjoy seeing him get beat.

I agree completely.
The difference between McGregor and Silva's break is middle shin vs just above ankle. I bet McGregor will be out at least a year might fight 1 more time and he'll hang it up.

Re: Tonight's fight. - 07/13/21 01:02 AM

That sounds likely.

Re: Tonight's fight. - 07/13/21 01:56 AM

The Drs will pin his leg/ankle back together and unfortunately, he will be back at some level. Most likely being hyped to be a lot better than he is. He is Dana's cash cow. But if he never steps in to the octagon again, it will be just fine with me.

It is a shame that Poirier did not get to mash his face in a couple more rounds.

Still seems fake. Probably filmed that ahead of time and fed in time for first replay. People think they remember seeing that while they actually remember the replay. FAKE

A clue about fake wraslin. John Cena could have pulled that off better.

I never watch MMA or anything like it. I prefer the "Sweet Science" of boxing instead.

Re: Tonight's fight. - 07/13/21 08:06 PM

I love MMA.

It's the only spectator sport I watch.

The guys and girls fighting in Belator and the UFC are at the top of their sport, world class fighters.

I've been watching UFC events since the brutal beginning (28 years) when there were no weight classes, no time limits, no judges and only three rules (no biting, eye gouging or groin strikes). Back then fights were ended by knockout, submission or a fighters corner throwing in the towel.

It has evolved a bunch since then but is still hand to hand combat and as real as it gets. No other spectator sport can truthfully make that claim.

I believe groin shots were legal for the first few UFC events
