I believe that one will end up in front of the SCOTUS as not being constitutional at the very base of it. Time for James to open his wallet and get some cases paid for I think so we should be just fine.

Holy Crap!! That is crazy. Read it. Just the fact this got put in writing is scary/infuriating.

If that were to pass, the minimum penalty if I gave someone half a dozen 22 shells and didn't inform the government is 5 year in prison and $30,000 fine.

must be...I read it to mean it INCLUDED .50 caliber also:

“(dd) (1) It shall be unlawful for any person to possess ammunition that is 0.50 caliber or greater."

and then...

"(11) (A) Whoever knowingly violates section 922(dd)(1) shall be fined not less than $50,000 and not more than $100,000, imprisoned not less than 10 years and not more than 20 years, or both."

So, that's a minimum $50,000 fine and minimum 10 year sentence for every shooter marble your children have in the house when they knock on the door...
