Hope they can get into production soon. Manitowoc rang a bell. We just watched a documentary about this family that owned a junkyard there. The local police seemed to have it in for one of the boys. Put him in jail for 18 years the first time even though they knew he didnt do it, then nailed him again with a murder one rap a few years later. Judging by the documentary the sheriffs department likely framed him. He was getting ready to sue them for millions and the theory is that was their motive.

Thats a good start. Probably room for one more at the old Badger Munitions plant at Baraboo. Make that one for civilian use.

I would think this would be risky given the administration coming in as well. Hopefully they will be able to pump out more ammo though as the shortage sure is frustrating

Strikes me as stupid to build an ammo plant in a Dem state. Why not SC?? Right to work law, conservative politics, what's not to like?

It’s nice to see these begin built here in the Midwest obviously I would prefer it here in Iowa but I’ll take what I can get.

They should get enough support to not make it much of a risk -- I didn't like the video of the cci, rem, fed, ceo -- to big of the market . I will support the smaller companies (less affected by politics).

Won't open until summer of 2022, so 18 months from now if everything goes according to plan. Who knows what the market will be like in 18 months.

Must need a specific facility. There is a lot of manufacturing facility space in Manitowoc and Two Rivers but must not meet their specs. We have lost thousands of manufacturing jobs over the last 4 decades so getting these jobs will be really helpful for Manitowoc which has really been treading water since the early 1980s. Our county has lost about 5-6,000 citizens in the last 30 years also, so this should help stop that loss.

Why not? Wisconsin has right to work, NE Wisconsin is conservative with an under utilized workforce. And Wisconsin is in a great location for distribution channels.

Based on current events, I have an uneasy feeling socialist liberals controlling this nation's military may need that extra military production in about that timeframe. Sure am glad my daughter is out and no longer serving. I have to agree with one Texas judge from a few years back, Armageddon is coming, it may get here soon than anyone can imagine. So glad, she and I will never has to decide between family or country.
