I have 100+ of these things that are avg pocket change condition. Are they worth anything or is it just an unprofitable hobby saving them? Anyone ever tried to sell them?

Of course! 100 of them are worth a dollar.

About 2 years ago, I sold 4500 wheat pennies. I got 2.5 cents each from a local metals dealer. Others were offering 2 cents each.

The coins I sold were just average condition. From the 1940s and 1950s.

Double check to see if you have a 1943.

Actually you tube would be good to. I’ve looked through mine and have every one except a 1943 lol. Something to do with how they changed making them during the war effort but some I believe are worth quite a bit

I’d say all money is worth saving, especially if you don’t have anything good to spend it on!

Depends on the date and mint mark most are worth under .10 but some depending on date and mint can be quite valuable

The 1944 steel wheaties are worth around $75,000 to $100,000. The 1944s weren't supposed to be steel, but a few leftover from the 43 minting got mixed in.

I better go through my old pennies because I thought I had some WWII steel pennies.
