SC end of the line

SC end of the line - 06/02/20 03:40 PM

A little late, but better late than never, right? Planned on selling most of my beavers and otters to Groenwold green. When they cancelled their runs at the end of March, I decided to go ahead and put it all up. I finished up a while ago, but just put it all out for a picture. Had to wait on more cities tags for my otter, which took much longer to get due to Covid. Gonna sell some, and have some tanned.

Had some good helpers on the trapline and in the shed this year. They were proud to get in the picture. My daughter even put on her "fur" vest.

Use one of those big ol beaver pelts and get your daughter a REAL fur vest. She'd love it! And those boys need some coonskin caps.

Thanks guys. Maybe 2 or 3 people within 50 miles of me can appreciate the work that went into that little bit of fur. Not many people in my parts that put up fur. Always enjoy seeing pictures, so anytime I can post some that are halfway worthy, I try to share. I lost a few beavers and otters too . . . had a freezer stop working and some had too much slippage, had to chunk. There are a fair amount that slipped around the outer edges (belly). Good thing about hatters, that won't hurt me. A downgrade from hatter to section 3 hatter . . .

Hey yotetrapper, she wanted a real bobcat vest, but unfortunately, I didn't catch a single cat this year. I'd rather make one for her from something I caught. I am working on an otter stole for my wife, and I just might have to make her an otter vest, would be very nice. I do the hat thing too, here are some pictures from a year ago with the kids in their otter caps. All these were hand sewn, but I have since graduated to a bonis.
