With all the talk of the "golden triangle" that I guess im in if it covers NE Iowa I took a few coon down today and thought I'd post a couple pictures.

Haven't sold anything still got freezers full of coon to put up.

I only know one guy in the golden triangle but theres a lot of guys with nice coon those look nice did all the ones you caught this year look like that

Yes the vast majority of them do. I started trapping the 15th of November so that really helps even up here waiting a few weeks can make a huge difference.

One of these years we will have a foot of snow Nov. 12th, will be cold and stay that way.

Yeah rat I generally start at the go but I was still in the field. 5 or maybe 6 years ago we had a big snow storm one early November. That year I trapped a total of 9 days before january from November 3-12 if I remember right.

Didn't you trap down here those years Nolan? Chasing these sub species of southwestern coon or has that been longer than that? LLL

Longer than that I think Larry. Honestly I don't remember it's been 5 years I think since I went South Central Iowa and those coon were small and light.

I need to come down in March to trap beaver and get a vacation from scraping lol.
