Fur buyer turns 90 - 12/27/19 09:28 PM

Well known NC fur buyer, Lincoln Barbour, turns 90 years old this weekend. I started trapping about 10 years ago and always sold my beaver and otter to him. He shut the doors a couple years ago but still runs a trapline with his younger brother, EJ. Wish our fellow trapper a happy birhtday!

Mr. Barbour is one of a kind. I met him years back at the SE NTA convention in North Carolina. He was a hoot to listen to - the stories he would tell.

Happy 90th birthday and many more ahead.

Hey Wissmiss, some of those stories he tells are true too!

I’m sure they are true. You can’t make up stuff like that. One of the best ones had to do with skunks and WWII. Wish I remembered the details.

Lincoln has long been a friend of mine, as is his brother EJ. I spent many an hour in his fur shop talking with him. He loves to talk about trapping and fur buying.

I don't think he's on here, but just in case - Happy Birthday Lincoln!

A good man, very knowledgeable about trapping and fur, also a lure maker, it can be had at the nc convention.
