Phone call I never wanted to get

But just did.

Daughter just let me know her husband was shot twice last night at work. He is a Police officer in the St. Louis area. Don't have any more details right now, except he is ok and home resting. I am guessing his vest saved him?

Both of them are PD. I live in fear daily of getting these types of calls. If ya'll don't mind, a few prayers would be appreciated. For them and their kids.

Lord God we thank you for protecting this man. God I command you to place your angels round about both of these individuals at all times they are on duty. God, I pray you bless each of them with a discerning spirit and give them knowledge in the field. Lord, I pray others near them recognize Your presence within this couple and may they be used to give You glory. Thank you, Jesus, for all You have done for us and I pray you continue to lead us and guide us in Your will.

Cliff has been working under cover opps for several years. He really enjoys it, and is very good at his job.

I was wrong in thinking, or taking for granted, that his vest saved him. I thank God the arteries were not hit.

The cops who go to work everyday are the real heroes in this country. Hoping for a quick and complete recovery for him and I hope he knows most Americans greatly appreciate what men and women who serve as officers of the law do for us.

Finally got to talk awhile with my daughter.

He was shot twice with a 9mm. Once in the upper inner thigh. Once in his scrotum. How that can happen and neither testicle get hit is beyond me, but that is what happened. No arteries or bone was hit. He was sent home just hrs after being shot.

His partner actually shot the weapon out of the aggressors hand, disabling it. (my first thought was why is he still breathing) He is being held on a million dollar bond.

They want to thank everyone for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes. As do I. Ya'll are a great bunch of folks, as has been shown many times over the years.
