Outside of trapping what hobbies do you have?

I'm a private pilot, dabble in amateur radio, fishing...always loved trout fishing. I have not trapped in recent years but revisiting trapperman.com and pullling out snares and pictures reminiscing a little.

Hunt, fish, golf.

Hunting,fishing,hiking,berry picking,mushroom hunting. I have never found anything outside that I don't enjoy as long as there aren't to many others involved.

I teach solo synchronized swimming.

Build Coonzilla cages, restore old mini trucks, make oils, grease and lures, help out at the farm.

Hunting , salt water inshore fishing. I actually have patents on several popping corks (ODD-BALL TACKLE). Working on guns, mainly rifles. Turning Savage bolt guns into precision shooters IE changing barrels calibers, bolt handles, bottom metal and stocks. Trigger jobs on T/C Encores, and working on heaters and A/Cs.

I love to fish walleye on Lake Erie, but as I get older it seems all I do is work... something is always broken around here... never have time for it...

Gardening....vegetables and flowers. Keep a dozen hives of bees, fish a lot, hunt nearly everyday in the fall. I have a couple of Chevelles to entertain me in the summer. I also like cutting and splitting wood.

I have the most expensive hobby ever, I farm.

I hunt (turkey, mushroom, elk, deer, antelope, shed antler, .... even tried mountain lion this year) camp some, take some short travel jaunts, love welding on yard art and some projects for sale... being a Grandpa when I get to. Keep busy !!!

Buying animals is the cheap part.....feeding and medicine is the expensive end of it. My son had Oxford Sheep here...an$ he use to show them at the fairs and Louisville. The most sheep we had after lambing on our 2 acres was 42 ....he gave it up 5 years ago....but he is starting to scratch that itch again...but only maybe 4-6 yews and keeping his ram at another farm....it’s an addiction...lol

Main hobby is Metal detecting.Also Camp quite a bit,melt lead,hunt & fish.Getting harder to find time for it now tho.

Hunt, fish, trap, make lead bullets, make maple syrup, camp, work overtime so my wife can be a stay at home mom, cut/split firewood, tie flies, sharpen knives, shoot guns, shoot the bow at longer ranges, drink beer. I am good at multitasking. There are other things I would like to get into, just working them in slowly.

Have found beating the heck out of red hot metal is a great way to relieve stress.....Until my arm gives out......LOL

My hobbies are pretty much my vocations, but in addition to those things I like road trips, campfires/camp-outs, and coffee/tea, and banya. All of these usually with friends.

Hunting and camping. Cooking and drinking beer while camping. Mostly just work, work and work. The older I get, the more hours I put in a week.

Flintlock shooting and hunting, primitive archery, fur trade history (especially the Western Great Lakes), vegetable gardening, backyard chickens, canoeing, hiking, snowshoeing and motorcycling.

My hobby when I’m not actually setting traps, is to think about setting traps. Oh ya and chasing twin 4 year olds around

totally! always had an interest in falconry but im sure its a lot of work. More then you realize..

Harbor Freight finally let one use a 10% coupon on their band saw mill. I bought it last Jan, I only had 3 decent logs left after cutting firewood last winter. I cut those up and finished the roof and walls on the chicken house. Its been to muddy to get any logs out of the bottoms, I don't won't to cut it up. Now its too hot! So my project now is to add 10 ft to the 8 1/2 ft tracks on it. I have the metal but again its too hot, but those rods sure run good in this weather, lol. Its something to do and its a great way to make new friends, esp. if they need boards. Every little boy needs a saw mill for a hobby.

Fast cars and fast women, because the women seem to be getting too fast for me to keep up with. They seem to be getting grouchier too, with all of the yelling and screaming and whatnot...

Right now its Milsurp firearms, tomorrow morning its my garden. Come this weekend it will be my off grid cabin. I live on a nice fishing lake, kayaks, panfish and flyrods many evenings after work.

I gave up falconry after 50 years. Ride the motorcycle and trap moles.

For 10 years, my hobby was guns. I spent that time buying guns, shooting guns, even got certified as a firearms instructor. I had a loose list in my head of the guns I wanted to own and expanded my collection into two big gun cabinets. About a year ago, I bought the last gun on my list. When I got it out to the parking lot of the gun shop, I realized I was now done. For several months I wondered what my next hobby would be.

Then, I bought a 17' jon boat last fall that needed a lot of work. It sat, ignored all winter but for the last couple of months I've been working on that in my free time. I removed everything from the hull and started with a coat of paint, new side console, did a partial rebuild on the outboard motor, made repairs to the trailer, rewired everything, added navigation lights, deck lights, fish finder, gps, radio, and a bunch of other stuff. I think I'll have it in the water next week for it's maiden voyage. I like to crab and fish but have always had a real small jon boat with a battery trolling motor before this one. I have a feeling that this is going to be my hobby for the next few years.

I also have two part time retail businesses with my wife. I think business can be a hobby if you really enjoy it. I do.

I collect old books. Mainly hunting, trapping, fishing, exploration and adventure books. Got them ranging from 1853 to the present. Mostly on African hunting, Asian hunting and North American Hunting.

I didn't even think about old hand tools. For people that have never used them they don't know what the are missing.

I am liking your butcher block, that would be perfect for roughing out chair parts. Have you built a shave horse? I have not but want to.

I love hand tools. This table top was flattened and smoothed in about an hour with hand tools.
