The Last Picture

While at Arnie Peterson's funeral last Saturday afternoon I got a message that my mother was fading fast. She was in a hospital 330 miles away on the opposite end of the state but she somehow hung on so that I got a chance to say goodbye. Our last picture of Mom to me shows the good in the past and the promise of the future. She has passed the torch to her great grandson, my grandson. I can only hope and pray that his hands are used for hard work and good deeds as were hers. Thank you Mom for always standing for what was right and good, you have more than earned your reward with your Savior. My unending love and respect. Tim

Tim That is a great tribute to your Mom. My Mother was a strong woman that did her best to raise her kids to be responsible adults .The best way for all of us to honor our parents is to do the best we can to pass that to the next generation.

Tim old friend you have my families deepest sympathy.

As you know I lost my father in August and mom is not doing well now either. They were great parents and lived their lives with honor and devotion to family and friends. We had probably much of the same up bringing as young men.

Along with all the rest I am also sorry for your loss Tim; but as a couple have mentioned already, I know you know it is also the utmost relief and comfort for you and your family knowing for a fact your Mom is "absent from the body, present with the Lord." I am happy for you that you got to make it to her side before she passed on to eternity; a very similar thing happened with my Mom many years ago. That picture was very moving. God bless.

Thank you all for your prayers and kind comments. While we will miss Mom every day, the family focus now is trying to keep my 94 year old father going who lost his partner and mate after 70 years of marriage. I can't imagine that depth of loneliness. Thanks again all, you're the best. Tim
