Can we have a ( ponder) thread?

Can we have a ( ponder) thread? - 03/03/19 01:17 AM

Quite sure we ALL wonder why things happen and how they happen.
My latest ponder occurred just a few minutes ago.
. Getting ready to jump in the shower and whilst looking in the mirror, noticed my belly button with a lint ball in it.
Seen it several times over the years. How can that happen? Pondering.
What you all ponder?

while they were residing in a secure drawer in my closet. Also, who came up with the word ponder, and why?

“Slim Chance” and “Fat Chance” mean the same thing... but they’ll get different reactions from a woman!

Belly button lint is from your shirt moving around on your belly all day. The friction wears the fabric down and the slag, aka lint gets caugh in any depression. It’s like sanding a board with a hole in it.

The hairier your belly is, the more friction is produced against your clothing and the larger your belly button lint ball gets.

The women in that family all looked good in jeans. And she knew who I was way before I knew who she was. I never could date in that town...

Here is, sort of, the answer to your question

“A smidgen is just a teeeenie, little bit…

3 smidgens make one pinch

4 pinches equals one little bit

4 little bits equal one midlin’ amount

3 midlin’ amounts equal one right smart and it takes 5 right smarts to make a whole heap.”

Try wrapping your minds around this ... there's more empty space in you than there is stuff. You certainly know that all matter is made up of atoms, like the Carbon atoms that make up most of the molecules of living things. The distance from the nucleus of an atom to the first level of electron orbits is equal to the distance between a peanut M&M on the 50 yard line in the middle of the football field and the first electrons would be a regular M&M in the nose-bleed seats in the upper level of the stadium. That's a whole lot of empty space in what we perceive as solid matter.

The words I said when Pat showed me that picture are unacceptable on trapperman... please don't advocate for those to come back. There's just some places on the human body that should never have a zipper against them... eek[/quote]
Now that's funny. It does take a fairly raw woman to wear them.

So your trying to say it was not my indefatigable charm and wit that made that lovely young lady want to forgo those zipper jeans so badly?
Or my shiney red Dodge Challenger and those oversize cans of Schmitz malt liquor?

Your just trying to be mean to me and hurt my repressed memory. Bullies.

If a vessel to put things is called a jar and the thing that you open to enter another room is a door..... how can the door be a jar.

I always thought a ponder was a berm of dirt that stopped water, creating a really big puddle you could put fish in.

To truly wander a destination is neither sought nor acknowledged. Every step teaches, every mile enlightens, every journey brings knowledge.
Pondering is a byproduct of Freedom.

Osky Very good point . So that means wandering ,wondering and pondering is a good thing, because it results in knowledge. Once in a while I will go for a walk in the woods and say that I am going where my feet take me .If I am ask where I am going I say I am going up the woods

When I was very young my parents took me to the Dr. The Dr told my parents I was half nuts. I took it as a compliment and was quite proud, yet my parents seemed upset. I'm pondering why they were upset.
