Please vote for my daughter- UPDATE - 02/07/19 02:06 AM

UPDATE: We received notice today that Madalynn DID earn a scholarship. She wasn't in the top 10 vote-getters, but there was an additional 5 scholarships to be chosen by a panel. I can only believe that the support from different areas of the country are why she was chosen. THANK YOU for everyone who voted. It is very much appreciated.

On another note- here is a recent article about one of her other activities. Patrice might have competition in a couple years!

______________________________________________

Hey all I have a favor to ask from the forum crew. My daughter is competing for a scholarship dollars to attend Portuguese immersion camp this summer. If we are awarded the scholarships we are trying for she will be able to attend for high school credit this summer. They are basing one of the scholarship awards on a voting system this year- so if you don't mind submitting your name and email address to vote, please follow this link which will open to a picture of a young lady holding a red flag. On the left side click the thumbs up and that's all we need. The voting closes February 28. You might need to click through a popup about their newsletter to see it (x it out). Thanks sooooooo much.

Sorry but I do not do any online voting. This request maybe honest as the day is long. But I do not know (the wife). We all get ask to vote on different subjects all the time. I and you do not know where or what you are voting for. It maybe a vote for Hillary for Gov. of CA. That is why I did not vote.
I hope her the best.

It asks for your name and email address. Nothing that is super sensitive. You might be surprised how many places already have that info. But to each his own.

I agree. Everyone that walks around with a smart phone gives up more info about themselves.

It's just a vote to help out a TMAN member family.

She's thinking maybe. We discussed a foreign exchange program (to Portugal over Brazil) but there isn't scholarships for something like that and we cannot afford it. She could see herself working a term at one of the exchange counselors' English camp in the future and/or study abroad in college.

Getting There and Anti Gov-
No offense taken by me if you do not feel comfortable voting, I assure you it's legit but understand why you wouldn't want to participate. I think Concordia is doing the online voting this year to help raise the program's awareness through online means. I personally think academic achievements should be how the awards are determined but I don't make the rules.

THANK YOU for everyone who has voted so far. She is watching and appreciates the support.
