Could afford it?
Holland and Holland .500 Nitro Express double rifle. Around $185,000.00 last I checked, and the ammo was $i25.00 per round.
They also made .600 Nitro rifles, but there's no use to go overboard.

Saw a left hand 416 rigby years ago I should have bought. Also Teddy Roosevelt’s 95 Winchester in .405 AKA Big Medicine. I would also accept an original Hawken, And a flame thrower

Probably a high end sporting clay OU and the same in trap. I have many factory deer rifles that shoot way better than I can hold. Spending more money on them will not improve my shooting. Built a custom beanfield rifle from scratch once and topped it with a very expensive scope. Not a bit better than a Med 700. Sold it.

I've really been dreaming about a savage rifle chambered in .338 Lapua. The only thing stopping me is the fact that the scope is going to cost more than the rifle. I just can't get past that.

1859 Berdan Sharps rifle, and place ten consecutive shots inside a ten-inch diameter circle, firing from a distance of 200 yards to qualify as a Berdan Sharpshooter. or a... Winchester 1895 lever-action rifle, .405 Winchester. This rifle was one of Theodore Roosevelt's favorites, especailly for lions. But I would settle taking a bear, moose or elk with this rifle.

I'd like to have a nice, old double-barreled "Express Rifle", chambered in something like the .375 H&H.

Purdey Sporter 12 ga over under OR SAUER 404 STUTZEN SELECT in 30 06
I learned no one gun is going to satisfy me , the pleasure is in the project . setting a goal and accomplishing it or playing a new shooting game.
I'm in for a double rifle as well; make mine a Rigby sidelock in .577 nitro express...(during deer season i could use roundballs or cast bullets loaded down)
If I could buy any gun I'd have a George Hoenig custom vierling with 2 16GA barrels, a 30-06 barrel and a 17hmr barrel.
An old Griffin & Howe sporter with a Turkish walnut stock, chambered in either the 35 or 375 Whelen. Wouldn't turn down one of the very few they produced in 400 Whelen either.

A dream gun? I'm a little surprised at the lack of Hawkens in this thread.
A genuine Hawken, you couldn't go no better.

German made 12ga side by side Drilling with a 30-06 below the two barrels with fold up sights and a single trigger. Had a skeet instructor that had one. He passed and I don,t know what happened to the gun. Relatively short gun. Beautiful gun. 3 inch chambers.

If you are going that far, you may as well get one with that fold up thing for your shoulder.
