20 MOA cant - 09/21/18 01:57 AM
Well I'm thinking about getting a scope mount that has a built-in 20 MOA cant.
I've read some mixed thoughts on the cant. Some say it's necessary for any long range rifle others say it's only necessary for a scope that doesn't have enough MOA adjustment for reaching that distance.
Some say it's not necessary with a flatter shooting cartridge and some say it's not necessary with a modern FFP reticles with all of the hash marks and dots for hold over...
I don't know enough to determine either way.
I plan on putting a vortex 5-25x50 PST gen 2 with a FFP ebr-2c reticle in a spure 20 MOA qr mount on top of a bergara HMR pro 6.5 CM.
I know this isn't a sniper forum but I'm sure some of you shoot long range.
Thanks
Ken
