ive heard every good mushroom has a look alike thats pision. i was wondering if this is true and if puffballs have a look a like. i found one the size of a soft ball and cooked it so i guess im asking this a little late, lol. but thought i would ask.

yes there is one that is . You need to split open your puffballs to be sure they are really them...Check out the particulars on any good Mushroom site.
