well, its been about 2 months--right hand is on the mend-i can even type some, left traps hanging on barn wall, waiting for tune up, redye + wax.

overall, i think dexterity will return 100%--therapy has caused the big "plastic" brain to simply reroute the signals-its amazing, amazing, amazing!

Butt, i think comprehension is slower, speech is a little affected too--some slurring, mispronunciation, clumseyer than usual---this fall, i have alot of ditches to go up and down at bridges--im already visualizing twine, dyed tannish color, staked every 15' or so and staked out away from bridge, useing cheap ,stout wood stakes to anchor twine but keep lowlow profile--always. i live in high theft country--especially if fur prices get high.

regardless, i am looking forward to next trapping season--in spring, after first planting, getting busy with new permissions.

good luck trappers

Keep improving!

Working with vascular patients, I see stroke victims quite frequently. Most of them are non compliant diabetics, who smoke, and eat crap!
But there are also those who just have bad genetics. We usually clean out their carotid arteries which can cause some deficiencies also. If your ever in the postion to get a carotid endart. or a carotid stent, choice the endart....hope it doesn't amount to that, but just know your options. smile

Take care!

I had a stroke last dec 17 days after hip replacement. I went to Urget care and told them I left hand was weak and that my side felt numb. He said must be because of hip replacement. Well when it happen two days later I could not geyt in to any doctor so I looked it up on internet and I looked up stroke symptoms to find out I had a T type stroke. My coridit artery was almost plugged. So we went to surgery in Lacrosse Wi at Gunderson Lutheran. Had to wait a day because of blood thinner I was on, now I got another 20 years to go. I do not smoke or drink but eat alot of candy. I must be borring. Thank You Lord! Best to all of you. now two hip's later and a clean artery I am good as gold, still a sore feamer bone.
