Earlier this year I got diagnosed with epiditamitis....its an infection in the membrane surrounding the testicle....they informed me after that people who skin and handle beaver and other waterbased animals get this infection....anyone else ever heard of this???

I had that at one point years ago....but I've never been a water trapper....It was less than pleasant and I hope you are better soon.

Lol...less than pleasant is an understatement...I'm good now it was early this year after season ended... A guy that helped me last season with the skinning got it as well not long after I did so their diagnosis seemed valid at the time but thinking back it at least a month or two after the last beaver was skinned before we got sick...still not convinced that it was from the beaver....

Among sexually active men <35 years of age, most cases of epididymitis are due to Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and the remainder to N. gonorrhoeae (GC).

Maybe your thinking about the wrong beaver?

I once held the yardstick of another's perfection, I threw it down and carved my own........

It sure sucks and will take you off your feet! Course of strong antibiotics (Levaquin) should cure ya. Good luck

Neonate type in leviquin poisining . 22 month out flox base poisining my self right now . There are other antibiotics that will do the same thing that is not flox base . In March after surgeries I had epiditamits for 2 months can't remimber what I took but it was old school antibiotics work just fine .

LOTS of times the best treatment is a steroid to reduce inflammation. The treatment for an infection should only need be done once if at all. After that treat it as inflammation--NOT infection. Most docs know little about it.
