Does the goose on the right or up side have a season or bag limits , its a half breed canada . These geese are farly common around here also much more dom and wary and usely end up the lead bird in a large flock come fall. There also a pain in the rear and take over yards here

Half Canada and half what? If half native species then I guess it is native waterfowl. Half domestic you're in no man's land.

I've heard the fed biologists say that if it's half bred with a federally protected bird, then it has rights. If it's 100% feral or domestic, then you can ring its neck any day of the week.

Crosses and mixed species have no protection, similar to hybrid wolf that you can have as a pet and not protected as a wolf. You have to be careful to be sure it is a cross or hybrid and not just a color phase or freak. The bird on top is a cross, the leg color tells the story.

Reminds me of two different cases.
Here in GA a few years back a deer hunter shot a cougar in troup county. Since we have no closed season on cougar in georgia and officially we do not have any it was a case of no harm no foul. He must have shot someone's pet cat. That is until the dna test came back as florida panther then the feds wanted to get all [Please excuse my language... I'm an idiot] about it.
The other one happened up in Canada. A hunter shot a brown bear and brought it home to the US. Now this brownie didn't look quite right and curiosity led to another dna test. Only the second ever documented naturally occurring brown/polar bear hybrid. That's when the feds stepped in and took the bear and tried to charge somebody for taking a polar bear.

LOL we have no preconceived goose kill agenda,

I killed one two days ago and was very proud that we could. Within a half hour of a person being attacked, knocked down and hospitalized the goose was in the back of my truck. No cowboy tactics , no kill them all thinking. Just common sense, planning, pre-authorized and quick action allowed with and thru common sense legislation. I was on the way to the call and I got approval and after on site was able to evaluate and take action. That goose you took a picture of would have been done doing harm or left alone if not doing harm. No debate.

The cross has no protection as progoose said. On all my goose jobs I am asked to not leave them in the gene pool. If I don't eat them I feed the hungry. I sometimes give them to a family like Pesky's for ornamental purposes and pets.

Sleep'n with an animal..I can help.
Do not use both feet when testing the depth or temperature of the water

As an expert on how the Federal government works ( I pay Federal taxes ) I can tell you exactly what to do. You can legally shoot the goose in the picture but it must be shot in the head. ( That's quite obviously the domestic part ) If you hit him in the rear end you will be placed under arrest. The Federal government has been put in charge of rear ends ever since we elected one president!

You mean the half-breed one? He's not a native species either.

I've not seen any half breed Canada's geese here.
Some snow geese though, which look like some domestics...
