I saw some several years back anyone know where I can get one that works? I'm wanting it for home use.

A simple trap could be made with a minnow trap , my dad was a wholesale bait dealer for years , we mostly used nets but also traps . When we left the traps on there sides they filled with birds and mice . One thing he did was put a bounty on starlings when I was a kid , that worked good to , one day he came home and I had made starling decoys from ply wood and a blind so I could pop them with the pellet gun . He still talks about that day and how surprised he was to see a spread of decoys out in the yard . He also had a bounty on snapper turtles witch got into the ponds eating up the minnows . The good old days

I needed a good laugh - the starling decoys did it for me.

Don't laugh, Okiecntry. There are decoys now that nobody heard of. I just heard that they are using full bodied Jessica Simpson decoys to trap guys into marriage!

I've seen starling traps that were a huge wood framed boxes with screen sides. like 5x5x4 feet. The top is screen also but it is tilted in at an angle so there is a small opening in the middle that is the length of the box but only a few inches wide. If you can trap one live starling somehow and put it in the box, others will come to the top to investigate and drop down through the opening and can't get back out.

One of my professors told me they used them to get rid of cowbirds and there would be literally hundreds in there at a time.
