I went to a job today to check on a squirrel trap, which was mounted on a L-Bracket/board, 10 feet or so up on the side of a 30 ft. tree. I get there and notice the trap is gone...it takes me a second to realise that not only is the trap gone.. the tree is also missing.... blush

Trap thievery at it's finest! laugh

LOL, what a hoot! Did you do the cartoon head shake with a funny noise. PETAfiles would have burned the owners house down.
Did you get your trap back?

Have had it happen many a time only with branches.......You set up on the travel way and next thing you Know "they" have done some "Tree trimming"..........
Funniest was when two brown rats committed suicide in a 3 story leap ........

Almost as funny as the guy who did the squirrel trapping for "Us" (remember??????)....... Ha! smile

I did a beaver job for a ditch company a few years ago big dam on a main canal, told them I was going to set Friday and should be done by Monday. Set a 330 on the slide in the middle of a 15 foot wide dam, problem was the Powder Guy should up right after I left (didn't get the message) anyhow after the smoke cleared my guess was that 330 landed somewhere between Saturn and Jupiter from the looks of the crater.

LT Grey ,

What you have just witnessed was one of dem new fangled Mobile Treehouses for squirrels on the move. Rumor has it that some of them southern squirrels have figured out how to put trailer wheels and hitch to make mobile treehouses easier to transport their tree to that nice new tree-trailer park down by the interstate. ( you might notice the place , the one with all the trees with the wheels taken off and old beat-up bird houses sitting up on concrete blocks in the front yard )

Not a real nice place , all kinds of young-uns running all about the place , piles of half-eaten acorns dumped on the ground from the party last weekend , welfare squirrels mooching on the free food at the house down the street with the bird feeder , squirrels getting wasted eating fermented apples from the farmer's tree , flying squirrels coming at all hours of the night and making a racket and big piles of chewed insulation that the trash company has not picked up in 2 years.

I would not go down there to try to get your trap back , I have heard stories about a gang of Los Lobos red squirrels down there that will bean you with pine cones if you try to mess with them.
