So when you gang set a single trail with body grippers, how far apart on the trail should i be setting? One after the next every ten feet or so?

A real coon trapper would have done that in 1 night....... ROTFLMAO

I know, I wish I could meet a real coon trapper One of these days maybe I can talk one into coming down and going trapping with me. There are piles of them $8 dollar coons down here.

$8 for fur

$8 for carcass market

Looks like $16 coon. grin [/quote]

Nick you wasn't suppose to tell that. I have to work real hard for them $16 coons.

Kfin, I set areas hard where they are feeding, usually cornfields edges. I'll usually set two or three sets, mostly dirtholes, at the trails, but also single sets between trails. Many of my places have open wooded edges with no trails. I make sets every 30 feet or so if it looks good. I then check them two, three, or four times, depending on when the catch drops off, and move my traps to another area. But this is Minnesota. Here, they are feeding heavily getting ready for winter, and coon are usually pretty concentrated around the feed. It might be a little different where you are. I'm wasting my time and traps by leaving my sets longer waiting for the occasional passerby/traveler. Those are my seed coon for following years too.

Nope! Saving your good stuff for the real deal. This is some home brew. Got a new picture with 5 coon in one shot. Hope to stack them up this fall. You give me a 70 coon handicap and I will try to keep up.

Consult your states Gang taskforce ! Look how this post has got out of hand.... Now back to Kfin's last question... Im sure In a mile of creek you could have 2 or 3 groups of 6 or more easy.
