alot easier to use disposable. but if you use rebar i would cross stake. aleast 2 foot

i made some stakes for sany places during preaseason and since i like to overkill things, mine are 36"

I wouldn't use rebar....I've got sandy soil and I use cables, rather than stake them I loope them around small trees or sizable piecs of drift wood. Fast, easy, can reuse the cables and I haven't had a pull out or lost a coon or trap yet.

I agree w/adc, why waste rebar on coon,save them for the yotes and cats. Double staking 30+ inch rebar for coon, that seems like a little bit of overkill, if you got that much rebar laying around and it makes you feel better, go ahead but wood stakes are cheaper and alot easier to deal with. I go through my areas in the spring and cut a bunch of maple saplings about 30in. and leave them stuck up in trees along the cricks where I Know Ill be setting in the fall.
