Akona assured everyone that this woman was on the up and up. He claimed all kinds of stuff such as he had experience with her and knew she was ok.

Seems that he lied, huh?

First, Akona's absence from this forum had nothing to do with this woman, according to what I heard. It had everything to do with Malone's grudge against Akona, which we can still see displayed right here.

Second, you recall Akona's words differently than I do. I recall him passing on a request for someone to accompany a trapper. I do not recall him saying he "had experience with her and knew she was ok." I recall him not being able to understand the suspicion of US trappers about this request. Something I could see an Australian not understanding. He then got upset when people began questioning his own motives.

I suppose if you want to dig back through a bunch of old threads on another forum, you might be able to prove which of us remembers correctly.

Too bad. This was a good thread until a few bitter, angry people took it over.

Very true Mira, a few years ago we had a media training seminar for work dealing with reporter's asking you question's about trapping!

Was funny to see how they turned the answer's around on tv as this was all taped, each person's answer's then the snipets of what they said formed in a way to make trapping look bad by the reporter. Though it was funny to see co workers in a odd situation at the same time it was a major wake up call that if approached to NOT SAY ANYTHING as no matter how well your answer's may be they can still be used against you!

I don't understand why people put so much time & energy into animal rights. What's the point? Eventually, either the Rapture will occur or the sun will go Super Nova and everything will all be for nothing.

That just seems pathetic, for animals obviously don't have the emotions like we do. Wouldn't they get more of a good feel from trying to stop genocide or something.

Its something tangible to them. Most have pets or visit with shelters or rehab centers.

They are over emotional and are not able to see the logic of consumptive use. Our God himself felt sacrafice was appropriate. I'm suprised they have not taken him to court over slaughtering lambs.
