I let my hound outside this mornig to run. About an hour later he was barking and circling our old milk house, which is now used as our fur shed. I figured he had Fred, our outside barn cat, trapped inside. So I went out to let Fred out, because the door had closed. I opened the door and went inside shutting the door behind me so the dog couldn't get in. Heard movement behind a tarp and some wood leaning up on a wall so I went to move the stuff and grab the cat. All I saw was black fur with a white stripe. Needless to say I knew this was not the cat I was looking for, so I backed out the door shutting the skunk in. Needless to say the dog found his way into the milkhouse while I had come inside to call Randy to see what he wanted me to do with the skunk. When I went back out and saw that the dog had gone in I opened the door. The dog came out in a hurry and so did the smell. Don't know if the skunk is still in the milk house, but the door is now open and the dog is tied up. I'm going to trap him when the season opens since I was told to let it go for now. Maybe the dog had learned his lesson, but now we have a very interesting fur shed.
