These instructional, trap setting additions should partially round off this previous discussion:

Thanks, Tom. At my age, with degenerative arthritis in my neck and right shoulder, I am not as manly as either of these youthful trap setting men.

I talked to Yancy about "setter" options for the elderly. Ha! He sent me one that he came up with. It is a remanufactured grease gun from Walmart. Here is the after mod and the whole unit "before."

It is a little difficult to see in the photo, but this modified tip happens to be made of 1/8" flat stock, 3/4" long and 1/2" wide, with a "V" notch - welded on to the end of the shaft. A piece of larger stock could be used as long as it is welded on to the same shaft length.

That is what it is used for, any yes it is a simple easy way to set the Coon Traps, Like Jon I have arthritis real bad and came up with that caulking ideal a few tears ago [like in 1990] and they are easy to find, you can use them straight out of the box if you need too. just remove the round plunger, I don't make them for sale, cause they have some problems, especially with waxed traps. If and when you get wax on the plunger of the setter. I will answer questions on them, and right now I am running Low on my DP Coon traps, So I'm trying to get ahead at least I'm caught up, and all orders have been shipped on time. Yancy

Stacy, I am glad you saw this ink of mine and chimed in. Bravo! It put the master's credentials to my etchings in full ownership of an elder fart's pedigree, with papers! Thank you.
