THE SHELF SET



i use this set a lot where i know the water level will change...i start by driving a stake into the bank and then reaming out a hole for the bait, next i carve in a path (left) that goes from the bank to where the trap is...i put the trap dog facing the hole at the end of the trail with a stick by the loose jaw as a guide...then i stuffed bait in the hole and squirted fish oil in the hole so it drips out and hits the water creating the filmy
cover across the water.

THE POCKET SET



this is by far my favorite set...i start by digging a hole about 20 inches deep and 8-12 inches wide.... and then drive a stake into the hole and ream out a hole for bait/lure...i set and stake my trap a little to the right and put a stick before the loose jaw with the dog facing the hole...then i put my bait mixture in the small hole in the very back and squirt a little fish oil in there and then some around the pocket and one the bank...i used marshmallows again for an added attractor...
